Low life using monkeys to perform in the streets of Jakarta

Dressing monkeys
up to look like humans
with masks and tails and
make up is sinful and extreme
these poor macaques expected
to prance around performing tasks
and thus encourage
others to redeem
some little compensation
just a little consciousness
to help these fools
live their lives
without a proper job
a lesson to be learned
which clearly hasn’t turned
them away from what is really
just a slob
ready to ill treat
these poor wild monkeys
feed them badly
expecting them to work
it is bizarre that humans
sink to depths as low as this
for in Jakarta’s streets
they are seen to lurk
Indonesia has banned the practice
but policing it
well thats another thing
thats the problems with so many
animal related laws
the voiceless need some human help
to bring
to bear a change
and many laugh and joke
and take pictures
and don’t care
all I ask is now the task
for all of us
we must put our thinking caps on fast
and share
