Prisoners are never happy

Prisoners
with consciousness
captured and put in tanks
made of coloured concrete
To these companies No thanks
what is wrong
with audiences
who want to oggle and
pay to see wild orca’s
do tricks
to understand
this evil
and this arrogant display
means that they do
end up dead before their
time
and that’s really down to you
you pay to fill the coffers
but it will take such a toll
on any ocean creature
who was born with a great soul

a squalid soupy tank
is no replacement for the sea
for the wilds that is an ocean
that’s where, they should be
not holed up in some dungeon
and made to jump through hoops
made to perform vile blinders
with the scantily clad troops
and fed on god knows what dead fish
this cannot be right
leave the ocean spirits
where they are
far out of sight
