Milk (it seems you can fool most of the people all of the time)

The donor breast
is superior to
the cow,the goat,the sheep
nourishment is paramount
what we sow we reap
its optimal nutrition
manna of the gods
but around this world of commerce
there’s some mighty clever sods
they run great corporations
employing thousands, and
they need to tell the others
oh yes it all was planned
they will lie, connive
tell stories
do anything they can
to convince Joe public
they are right
and we should be their fan

Enter Mrs Cow, a likely donor
controlled by big dairies
and they are going to try
to convince the expectant human
of their worth to her and she
has let them succeed and taken
her role
and its all about the money
not the little soul
its profit and its margin
not nutrition, just control

cows milk is inappropriate
for humans
because of course
its too high in protein
a high solute content
a disproportion of amino acids
and low fatty acids
its not for the human scene
then of course its processed
its profit based
nutrition,
not at all
cows milk is for cows
sows milk is for sows
human milk for humans
that’s the rule

But not so to the dairy boys
maturity at birth
is not the thing
and frequency of suckling
what worth?
and the general way of life
those qualities, appear
missing from their paradigm
which is something to fear

altricial, our demands
born in a helpless state
precocial like the calf
who wanders off within a half
an hour or so
so different from humans
but we still
take on, the dairy clap trap
our babies guts to fill
