Labradorite

She bought me a pebble
No! not any pebble
a beautiful pebble
a joy for my eyes
a vision of loveliness
yes thats who bought it
but in the pale sun light
it was a surprise
the gold and the silver
the orange the green
a tangerine peacock
a radiant sheen
a dapple of apple
in this pebble of mine
with incredible energy
and how it did shine
the schiller effect
tantalising me
had it come from Atlantis
deep down in the sea
or down from the heavens
the great Northern Lights
its colours were woven
had it fallen from heights
beyond the cloud cover
and brought all that sun
those prismatic raiments
that some god had spun
its energy moved me
this pebble appeared
so special, so beautiful
I was so cheered
that she chose this pebble
and gave it to me
with a smile on her face
so, ebulliently
so serene her expression
and that glitter she wore
and it sparkled and made me
love her even more
I have just kept her pebble
with me all the day
I held it, often
and I can say
it is like her, so beautiful
inside and out
with a purity
that leaves me
without any doubt
its fabulous now
in the blackness of night
for it seems to pick up
the most random of light
which curls into the eyes
and creates fabled scenes
that look like a face
peering out of the greens
a sunset
a mind set
imagine and see
and this is the pebble
that she gave to me
