Manna of the forest fit for angels

Manna of the forest
fit for angels
all sorts of lovely goodies
she did share
dates and figs and almonds
seeds of a glowing pumpkin
flakes, and just sweet chewy bits
and love, it all was there
milk from rice and coconut
grown on mountain vistas
served with a sweet smile
that just lit up my day
I ate it slowly
and loved every mouthful
clearly, I was happier
to say
I just felt all the goodness
the love, and the affection
it calmed me and it helped
me
I just wanted to fly
out into the forest
and perch upon a high tree
or go over to Roll right
and that friends, is no lie
to breathe the air of morning
to share the vista green
to wallow in the early mists
where once surely I’d seen
A Goddess and a Dragon
with a great Stag by their side
a vision with provision
that can never be denied
