Rangoli has now Ran gone

The glorious Rangoli
has at last met its end
sucked up by vacuum cleaner
somehow it did send
messages to children
that it was there to be
walked on
trod on
and destroyed
and so tonight we see
but it clogged the machine
up, seemingly
which I thought did feel apt
for the artwork
and the prowess
that apparently
was trapped
sadly in the cleaning bag
just one last piece was there
The Rangoli served its purpose
for it made some
more aware

of the beauty of culture in all its forms

Poetry is always soul stirring. This one more so because I draw rangolis daily
in my house. I know how sentimental I am so far as rangolis are concerned
