A road best travelled

The road outside
has many cars and lorries
and speed, seems to be, the essence
of those who
know the limits 50, and sometimes
down to 40
but still go flat out
that is what some do
the cottages
are laid back just a little
16 of them
gazing at the road
shaking when pantechnicon’s come
rumbling
carrying their really heavy load
one such cottage opens
into heaven
a safe and warm environment
where we
can share an interlude of fascination
of warmth, of caring
and intellectual glee
a lovely hour or two
in the relationship
of thoughtfulness and soulfulness
and joy
a healing place
where dragons and where totems
manifest themselves
and one dear boy
who uses his left brain
for understanding
artificial intelligence, appears
to have arrived along with gifted children
and the gifted and the less than gifted, fears
are in a nutshell similar, I tend to feel
if anything the generations where
people never grew up with computers
feel out of it,and some I know despair
the gifted children really are encumbant
on our daily grind
they have the where, for all to handle problems
but cannot read the writing on the wall
This particular cottage
has a women who
feels a bit reclusive
but in fact
In my view
she has a great outpouring of
truly fine proportions
and a life so full it couldn’t
be more packed
but she has immense fortitude, and has had
to pick herself up and go on, and just pay
I do respect her more than words for what she’s
had to do
and all the things she does so well each day
