Dragon Goddess

In the shadow
of the Totem
a Dragon now lies coiled
within the firery embers
of a love that once
was foiled
a lover who had come along
and paralysed her soul
acting as an angel
but a devil in that role
dispossessing and thus stressing
the Dragon Goddess, who
glides in warm embraces
with the fireflies in the dew
in a bout of desolation
she almost lost her way
but solemnly created
her escape plan and did pay
a high price for her freedom
out of, adversity
and now she shines her light
on those, who have also
broken free
Life’s shackles
are demanding
and free spirits take it hard
there is no rhyme or reason
but the sally of a bard
may hoist, the Dragon Goddess
to a higher energy
where solar butterflies do rest
around an Apple Tree
Where healing does encompass
a myriad of signs
oils, waxes and incense
are where the sun
now shines
its light, its positivity
a sharing under way
a lilac flame endearingly
rises with the day
a healing proposition
revealing a rare glow
a true juxtaposition
that helps the soul to grow
