Alchemy

In the heart of the nut
there’s this magical water
that springs from the roots
and is sent from the flowers
its alchemy satisfies
all of existence
a cocktail is formed
in vast numbers of hours
cocooned in this soft jelly
sweet from the sun’s rays
protected by a fibrous shell
that evolved
to keep the royal mixture
cool in the Summer
this miraculous feat
evidently resolved

can be plucked
and all of its most
wondrous water
allowed to run slowly into
our vast sea
and all its electrolytes
are so forthcoming
a revitalization of spirit
there be
a tumultuous wave of
significant value
will last in our being
for eternity
and what has evolved
is a symphony played
out in the tree tops
where everything happens
and synergy truly
does come to our aid
