Here I am
I’m black and white
a baby
mooing day and night
“where’s my mummy”?
“where is she”
out of ear shot
tragically

in a cage
why in a cage?
on a truck
why on a truck
kicked and beaten
what the f–k!
I am lame
wrenched by my tail
where’s my mummy
Yes I’m male

I am a boy
but still so small
in the truck a final call
lots of others
with me here
I’ve had no food
I can smell fear
It permeates
my every hour
as in this shed now
I do cower
