“Making a killing”

To be making a killing
is understood here
slaughtering thousands
of babies whose fear
must extend across
generations to where
The seals of Namibia
their screams we hear
they are at this moment
with humans who feel
their deaths are more
lucrative
and therefore real
a scenario clearly
that’s as warped as can be
involving destruction
and depravity
such arrogance shocks
and their laughter does floor
all decency honestly
wants to know more
and to deal in this murder
of seals won’t achieve
anything positive
I do believe.

On the face of it now
the money rolls in
and if he doesn’t do it
if he doesn’t spin
the wheel and make fortune’s
someone else will
at a price that means
sweet little babies
they kill
suckling babies
innocent souls
their heads smashed to mush
with bloody long poles
vomiting blood, and milk
on the sand
Who in their right
mind can dare understand
How can a Government
sanction this trade
It isn’t humane
its a torrent that’s played
out with such vehemence
such vile intent
that Satan himself
called upon, would relent

Lets appeal to this man
he is clearly mistaken
those sweet little souls
he kills, are forsaken
the money he makes
and Australia too
disgusts the whole world
and the whole world
can do
a lot here
this carnage just
must not go on
Its insane to suggest
that after they’re gone
more will come back
its a cycle of fear
it isn’t finite
and it doesn’t endear
any soul living
who dares to be brave
will stand on the sands
and of course they will wave
to the souls that depart
with their mournful refrain
with our promise
that it will not happen again.
