Crippling droughts
the natural enemy of the wild souls
but man alone
stands masterfully
and the wind and wild
one’s groan
at his vile
and nasty nature
the commercial trade
in MEAT
in LEATHER
and the Government
whose powers
are too effete
its a cruel and nasty
industry
and meaningful towards
the wild one’s and the
countryside
a great crossing of
swords
South Australia seemingly
are not prepared to stand
up against the
corporates who now
control the land
the kangaroo gets short shrift
from the hunters
sold as pet food
and leather, then there’s shoes
all the big names
buy into this massacre
native species
looking now for clues
they don’t get too much
help it seems from
Government
they are a bunch of softies
any way
up against the meat trade
and the corporates
the real power
its has upped
and gone okay!
I travelled just the other
week from Perth
to Adelaide
and then went up to Darwin
all by train
I never saw one Kangaroo
not one
now what does that tell you
the commercial world
has won the day again
critical minimum densities
its hard to say
a land where
Kangaroo’s have always been
but now the greedy brain dead
mob
their rifles cocked
clearly they rob
Australia of its icon
its obscene.
I lie, I saw a Kangaroo, dead
beside the road
out of Perth near
Serpentine
and I tell you that it
showed
me that city dwellers have let
their voices die
they’ve let the corporations
come and murder and defy
A sense of what was right
about the outback
which was where
the Kangaroo displayed their right
does anybody care?
for now the MEAT and
LEATHER trade, have the upper hand
everything that moves is shot
on this blood red Aussie land.
