the memories of the gold found
an open cast mine lingers on
the Towm hall is quite a nice
building
but its all about gold around there

a long flowing beard
so aware
He is remembered
and well he might be
Cos he set it all off
and i dare
say he was
quite a nice fellow
clearly hard working
I feel
I passed through the town
Let the train take the strain
In March on a pretty
as the sun just went down

But I’m not really sure
if I’d liked to stay there
Where gold is
fires the spirit for some
But I prefer forests
and mountainous climes
with a bit of shade from the sun
