Termite Mounds

Termites clearly are fantastic builders
Architecturally they can design
Structural Engineers too, able to
assess
environmental stresses down the line
From the Ghan one sees these conical
apparitions
Rising from the litter,into view
To face the same direction
To create a group connection
And house their many trillions
as they do
From Katherine one sees so very many
Landscaped into circles and to squares
Monumental edifaces clearly built some time ago
And the tiny stumpy new build
That now shares
Less space along the railways edge
Or maybe by a pool
Termites clearly are fantastic builders
as a rule.

Termite problems are the worst pest infestation in the world. I cost too much to get rid of them and often they came back.
