The NME Awards

They open the page

A laser drenched stage

Kasabian blasts out its songs

Blinded by light

Deafened by sound

Can you hear the words?

Just an incessant pound

That grapples with ear drums

and all inner cores

The NME opens

opens its doors

A shrieking percussion

A mist of thick blue

The heart beats are pumping

The old ear drums too

Gyratingly obvious

They are the one’s

Decibels rising

They are the sons

Of the new music scene

laser light sabres shine

Pink blue and red

Its all on the line

A night of this deafens

A day of this might

A week of this, God help yer

It can’t be right
