Why do some people not want windfarms

To have had an unspoilt view of the horizon
the waves, the sky, the moon, the sun, the space
To then be faced with 30 or so wind turbines
revolving in the sky and in your face
The sensuous sight for access to the ultimate
That dreamworld that exists for eyes to see
The emotion carries thoughts beyond the actual
Into what is, your own imagery.
And now the great wings flutter to a symphony
Of wind and waves. and clouds before your eyes
You cannot see the colours of the horizon
And the picturesque arrangements in the skies
This frightens you in many way, normality
What you so expected you would see
Is threatened and replaced by all that beauty
the turbines rising gently from the sea
Their great arms lifting clasping wind in heapfalls
And generating energy Today
This to be a brand new understanding
the wing like structures passing time away
Change, whether for good or bad is not liked
And what is deemed to be a change of view
Is dwelled on in the negative but there are many positives
Safe energy the best of all, my view

Our eyes must grow to love the wondrous turbines
Their swishing capture of the wind that blows
positively wonderful technology
A journey through the kaleidscope that grows
To add to what was out there in the distance
Creating a great movement and a force
And accumulating energy in quantitites so vast
That it was always hard to understand the source.
