Corporate Industrial Farming is an arrogant display
Of heedlessness,of brinkmanship
They look the other way
Decisions made are reckless
And lead to hopeless fear
Amongst the poor sweet animals
That live and die in here
The workers are frustrated
Those images they see
Drag them down into a pit
It does emotionally
Concern them, but somehow they do contain
Themselves for its,
a job they do
Some give some say
it just gets on their tits
They suffer from the dust, the gas,
the filth and terrible smell
The animals, their feed, their shit
It clearly is a hell
The animals are imprisoned on cold concrete floors
They stand there day in and day out, and develop sores
The ventilations awful, the light is inadequate too
Their whole life has been managed by their
Corporate masters who
Have worked out when they are going to die
And the profit margins too
Fed on low grade moldy grain which creates and acrid stew
Inside them they are ungulates designed to chew the cud
Instead they are forced to eat this alien
diet and their blood
Is weaker than it might be and ailments come their way
And without self medication from plants along the way
its resort to pharmaceuticals that imbalance
and increase
The problems that they suffer from, and infact there’s no release
Vast bouts of indigestion plaque them all their days
producing gases that build up an uncomfortable malaise
About 330 million tonnes of manure every year
And thats just in America what a heap of fear
Hydrogen Sulphide,Methane,Ammonia just 3
But there are at least 400 gases environmentally
Its when farms scale up, that the problems become monstrous size, lots of smaller farms are better they realise
But financially the CAFo’s supply the hyper stores retaining enough margin, but still opening doors
Its down to careful management of systems up till sale
But leaves the animals in their charge like lost souls on a trail.
The animals are the commodity and are treated like it, they
Watch the giants rub their hands
And then fast fade away
