Tremella Mesenterica

On fallen boughs
To Mother Earth
This opportunist finds
Decay to place its jelly upon
Sulphurous yellow there
Upon the forest floor it grows
And fairies are aware
Of its healing properties
It’s edible quite raw
Aiding our immunity
For inflammation too
Allergies of this and that
Witches thought it through
A way back in their history
Holds water very well
Known as the witches butter
A comprehensive spell
House goblins claim how powerful
The Konica acid seems
To smooth and soften weathered skin
In fact in Goodley dreams
It manifests a healing
A bit like glycerin
Natures working miracles
Sets the forest scene
