Three screams

Back in the dusty old annals in China
Eating, something rare
Gave much to the diner
A social standing that was their thought
And communal wealth clearly was sought

These kind of people had little regard
For animal species and many scarred
Their own bodies eating all sorts of stuff
One dish known as 3 screams
Came about and it’s tough
To relate in this day and age
Why some still do
Eat such a dish
In the present worlds view

It’s called 三隻耳
Which stands for three screams
Which is diabolical
Maybe there’s reams
Of stories about it
But frankly for me
It’s unbelievably sick
It’s immorality

The first scream
When the infant is picked up
Oh dear
The second when dipped in the sauce
It is clear
The third scream
When placed on the diners tongue
And mixed with the spittle
And chewed up and flung

Back in the throat
And then swallowed whole
Bones and all its eyes closing
As it does fall

On top of others
Still wriggling there
In the dark
In the chyme
In the obnoxious air

Of the gut
Where the worms
And bacteria play
Where mass murder happens
Everyday

A grave for the innocent
Iniquity guards
Whatever falls
And very few bards
Can ever recall
Such a subject before
Describing the anger
The malice and gore

I sink to my knees
In the matter before
Watching these so called new age
Diners score
One after another these mice babies
Go
Through the same process
Which sickens me so

If you remember SARS came about
From eating mice
They have little doubt
About how they really choose what they should eat
They have no awareness
Their loathings complete

Clearly bad blood
And a bitterness there
And an odious feeling
Inside of despair
Their rancorous appetite
Unwelcome too
Present day diners
So now very few

Take up this challenge
This obnoxious dish
Condemned by so many
An abhorrent wish
Of the sadistic minority
Who we should alienate
Whose enmity beckons
As will their fate
