Molly Fae

A pair of broken glasses
A symphony or two
A glass eye in a jam jar
And a picture painted blue
A little broken bookcase
A half tin of sardines
Auntie Flo’s old stocking
And Uncle Tom’s blue jeans
All of them I’d willingly
Give up and throw away
For one kiss, just one long long kiss
With my dearest Molly Fay

That pigeon on the steeple
That yew tree on the lawn
Sorry Mrs Pritchard
I get up before Dawn
She gets up late
Ha Ha not what you thought
An episode of, Faulty Towers
And an ashtray someone bought
And a bunch of lovely flowers
All of that I’d willingly
Give up and throw away
For one kiss just one long long kiss
With my darling Molly Fae
