Old England. 1

Seven miles from Salisbury
Stonehenge on a site
A massive plain
Of elevated chalk
And in the light
As far as the eyes can see
A monument that is gorgeously
Preserved these Sarsons
Boldly they
Represent another way
Ritual service
Earths and barrows
Day by day
The greener narrows
Undulating Downs we see
Such solitude
Take it from me
