If only we could fly

To escape that’s our one big idea
They kick us Out of the way
Injure us such fear
Wells up in our being
We have to run away
Our little legs are trying to
The true height of dismay
Ergonomically we should be able
Our muscles though are weak
Bleeding from contusions
We are mild and we are meek
Not up to hairy labourers
Who treat us like footballs
Kick us with such anger the agony appals

Innocence is no excuse
Submissiveness leads to
More attacks
Some real hard whacks
It’s what the workers do
Being fatalistic
Really makes no odds
Farm workers are senseless
They are a bunch of sods
And Sod’s law is the legalistic
Order of the day
As piglets we are nothing
Always we have to pay
They screw our tails off
Pull our balls off
Castration and it’s tough
Clip our teeth and throw us
About yes life for us is rough

Our mothers in gestation crates
Such rigidity
It’s all about space something to face
Something to try and see
Absolute zero tolerance
For a mother in a state
Of pregnancy
And she has to be
Enclosed which isn’t great

Dumping where she lays
Imagine that just if you can
Laying in the shit she aims into the slits
I am no fan
Of any Human being
Who tells me he farms pork
Coercing beautiful Mother sows
Who cannot even walk

Many of us babies she lays on
Or we fall
between the slits into her bog
Or we are stuck between the wall
And the dirty grating
Piglets innocent souls
Left to die there bleating
And as for the human trolls

Those idiots won’t see us
Nor hear us
If they do
They will pick us up
And kick us like a football
It is true
Look around the numbers
Bruised and beaten they
Came into this world
Of joy denied them right away

A bucket full of piglets
Heartaches everyone
Born onto a concrete slat
Never to see the sun
Never to feet the wind nor rain
Nor see the light of day
Only feel the boot of a labouring yob
Who looks the other way
