There is nothing common about the raven

They mate for life
Each serenade
Bonding as they do
A song bird
And their every word
Is love their lifetime through

Tis true the wolves and ravens
Are the sages for wise they be
Master mentors mindful
And their maxim mystery

The power of thought
A capacity for sharing and a caring
Soul
A cleverness
And forsigntedness
A breadth of mind a role

Sharp witted
Always on their toes
Watchful Every day
Perspicacious
Their heads screwed on
Steeped in the crafte
Some say

Gatherers and hoarders
And its what they accumulate
Their bottom drawer is full of bits
A menagerie of late
Bits of silver paper
Curtain rings and more
A stash of secret objects
From Boots to perhaps Dior
