Grenfell

five long years of crying

of broken heartedness

the  government sits on its hands

the whole nation must stress

those victims trapped and burning

no exits which  we saw

the cladding adding to the fire

which many did ignore

cosmetic cladding  councils

added to the high rise

left in a hopeless quandry

we all must realise

the savage nature of this  fire

the neglect was everywhere

and five years have gone

and all I feel was  absolute despair.

all this cosmetic cladding

the  councils who agreed

to reinstating all of it

have to now concede

they were in the wrong

and must pay  for it
