One has to fear
The so called “clearfield”
GM crop
That Canada grows
And Ought to stop

Its arrogance really
Dressed suspiciously
Talking up abundance
ingloriously
Providing some wealth
For farmers who
Take on the easy way
To do

What is to grow
A goodly crop
Based on organics
Where genetics flop
They protect the corporate
Who creates
An apparent short cut
But it so grates

The conscientious
And integrity
Of growing with nature’s
Scrupulosity
It might be harder
But the principle here
Is the code of honour
Not based on fear

NAture knows best
I believe that to be
The truth despite
The genetic plea
Where corruption is rife
And a crookedness too
That does smack
Rascality
Through and through
