Eating babies

Mothers that’s another mother’s baby
how would you feel
if someone ate yours
it really is upsetting for those
mothers
the little calf that everyone
ignores

raped and carried 9 months
its a rigmarole
when the babies born
what do they do
they split them up
the mother wants her baby
the baby needs her mother
but what’s true

If it is a male calf
ten life’s over
it will be killed
probably today
its stomach ripped apart
to extract rennin
the great coagulator
so they say

if it is a female
then its veal crates
fed on milk slops
chained up night and day
it will pine for its mother
all babies do
and at 4 months old
it will be slaughtered too

how we have lost the plot a bit
I do not know
eating babies doesn’t seem to me
a logical progression
from our offspring to
someone else’s offspring
surely when we do

this we must be causing pain
and suffering and we
should remember what we are eating
and how it came to be

mothers pine for weeks on end
howl deep down inside
babies need nutrition
on it they have relied
but they do not get it
it goes into your tea
your yoghurt or your custard
their loss is woefully

expressed by all the mothers
when we eat their little one’s
remember they are sentient
some just get the runs
but all of them get so depressed
by the carnivore who eats
and cry for days and days they do
believing we are cheats

for we are drinking their milk
they’re ungulates and they
use the bovine growth hormone
to make them grow each day
its doesn’t stop that action
because it we consume
it just helps makes us fatter
its the latent face of doom
