According to Egyptian Vet compassion only works on paper not in the abattoir

Compassion, rules and regulations
that concern the killing time
of animals for slaughter
apparently the grime
associated on all counts
with the actual death
the restraining box
with its moving chocks
where the earthlings fights
for breath

Animals Australia
the cow that we all saw
trying to escape its fate
its rolling eyes
that straw
that finally pulled the
compassion out of
everyone who viewed
the vile and awful footage
as the system well just screwed

as that poor cow tried its best
it actually broke a limb
and its poor leg had been pressed
against the outer rim
a way from normal slaughter
and so the man was told
to kill it just by any means
but he just couldn’t hold
the sentient so he cut its tendons
and he stabbed its eyes
prime Australian cattle
and that’s about the size
and the Australian authorities
had inspected facilities
and given them the all clear
state of the art
its plea’s
it knew that it
was on its way
but how or when
had doubt
and suffered enormous agony
with nobody about
nobody to care
not one iaw for the way
these slaughter men were acting
on any given day
its written down upstairs
in tomes but down here on the floor
they just do what they
feel like doing
which is what they’ve done before

The veterinary was honest
a whistle blower, he
clearly had compassion
and courage uniquely
the Australian’s were mistaken
or the facilities they’d missed
and a lot of Australian cattle
were too weak to resist
they suffered and they agonized
their torture and their woe
tragically was just one of those things
and it did grow
Australia must think again
its strategy for they
are really at fault in this one
live exports are no way
to treat these sentient beings
then the australian’s appear
less sentient about it all
and also lacking fear
it takes an honest egyptian
who cares deep in his heart
about what is compassion
who actually did start
the whole painful expression
of the evil that we saw
when the cow jumped out of the
restraining box
or tried to reach the floor
this was a ghastly moment
with more moments to come
Carnivores should concern themselves
and not pretend their numb
