Dudley Zoo

The rarer the animals

the mire we should love them

never neglect them

whatever we do

snow leopards

all sorts of others found wanting

How can they be unaccountable

poor beings wholeness uniqueness

eternity is waiting

such fragility

all these beautiful creatures

your negligence all see

the meaningless nature

of your captivity

the empty words

the coldness

to a piffling degree

no scope for imagination

concealed alone we cry

this bloody zoo is awful

we are sick and we know why
