strong words
and why not?
the natural gas boys will
tie you up in
legal jargon
as frack juices
do spill
over your land
over my land
everybody’s land
but you will not be able
to sue them
dont’ you think that’s grand!
they’re tied up
in the legal stuff
they can pollute
like mad
and if you
lose your pension
borrow from your dad

there isn’t an insurance
they have to see to that
we lose our blooming trousers
and they don’t even bat
their eyelids
and why should they?
what they do is right
grab the dough
after 1 year
and ride into the night

like sentinels of trouble
fracking water spouts
out of holes
all over
and of course the mess
for souls
the new world order
and they
know the profit
that can be
made
upon a sunny day
smashing into all that shale
forcing proppants down
and thousands of gallons of water
they really go to town

the nightmares they keep coming
forget the lies they tell
fracking has no backing
for me its straight from Hell
