“Lolo”

A donkey mangled on the street
And speeding rickshaw
Trying to cheat
Time the passenger
Sadly late
Lambert into Lolo’s
Gentle gait
head and necks wounds
Lacerations
Cuts and bruises
Her location on the street
A mass of sores
She reAlly had been in the wars

After 40 days and nights
Of cleaning dressing
Still her lights
Were not switched on for all to see
Despite our care
She wasn’t free
Of pain and suffering
Poor “lolo”

NOw was healing
As well we know
She was a fave
Kisses were a lot
In t(e many moths
Such she got
Another little life was saved
One of the lucky ones we saved
