Montana sees sense

There is tumult and ferment
In those hills I have to say
The cowards are out there
Laying traps
And catching wolves who prey
On Elk and Deer for sustenance
Feral enchantment comes
From frontiers so created
From the beating of their drums
The arrogance of man unkind
Of those whose ignorance reigns
Who fought hard for the entitlement
To put the wolves in chains
To fight the great Elks corner
And force the law to see
That hunting ELK and Deer
Meant more than the wolves
Diversity

Its the madness of disorder
The bedlam of the breed
The scattering of subversives
Who imagine that they lead
The challenge of the mighty
Against the feral soul
The wolves who won their glory
Their intelligible control
What we see is so shambolic
Entangled in desire
Not to save the environment
But to light the lawless fire
Expecting to be paid
For carrying out extermination
Of the wolves who really
Are Montana’s honest and real salvation

Using strong arm tactics
Brutality and force
Ambushing our precious friends
Who came to us from source
Created by almighty
To add their intensity
To improving the Elk Nation
And the wildness which is key
Man takes on a feral role
The trapper/hunter he
Breaks the links weakens the chain
And thinks that he can be
The predator ahead now
Of the wolf packs in the hills
His arrogance overwhelms him
And just gives me the chills

Seeing all those bodies
Of predators at their feet
The destructiveness the rumpus
Nothing is discreet
About the roughshod violence
Inflicted on us all
Murdering the wolves
Like this is the main work of the fool
Who lack the capability
Their impulse just to kill
The magick of creation
Within the wolf is still
They are the inspiration
The wheels within the wheels
And slaughtering for a bounty
They know now how that feels
Their ignorance a weakness
Their arrogance all know
They go about like rulers
Vulnerable and grow
Responsible for little
Except the killing spree
Where there is no concensus
Nor accountablity

Anubis in the background
Glaring from the sky
Watching the insolent trappers
Their leg hold traps defy
They murder and they torture
The wondrous wolves who be
Entitled to those that weaken
Of the great Elk Family
Hunters mostly men of little
Influence abroad
Behind a rifle they lay in wait
The curse of due reward
Taking out the fittest the biggest
They can find
Unlike the wolves predation
They are purposefully undermind
