Anchorage
Whitewater falls
Brown bears feeding
All these walls
Of rock and water
At Brook falls where
Excitement is unrelenting there
The drama plays out
As salmon leap
Up stream
And the wild bears
Clearly reap
Fresh bold fish
A fighting force
Hoping to return to source
And what we see before our eyes
A tourist one of those arrogant guys
Wading in to the river there
A selfie hunter unaware
Imbecility one on one
Irrationality bound to stun
Enlightened ones who hope to see
The brown bears feeding avidly
They are dangerous in the extreme
He so unwise it didnt seem
reality
His reckless stance
A fools errand maybe so
A chance
But criminal charges must follow
Danger to the bears out there
And to the unhinged one where
He thought he was going
Our question why
A hare brained act to attempt to try
The actual height of absurdity
So senseless his tomfoolery
Inebriated possibly
Closer to insanity
Within fifty feet
Of feeding bears
A moronic state of affairs
Could have ended up
Eaten alive
Or attacked so badly
He wouldnt survive
They are wild
Our privelege
Is to join them
As they hunt and feed
To get down in the wet with them
Is the most foolish of any deed
So he got his selfie
MAybe so
But now to prison
He has to go
A term in which to
Contemplate
His oafishness
And the debate
He could have died
And some bears too
Might have been shot
By rangers who
Had little or no alternativex
And
His idiocy mIght have
Forced their hand
And who knows what might
have happened then
All caused by a fool
Who didnt know when
