5 Rescue dogs and a horse

Owning land in Spain can get one
Into true hot water
A lady with a rescue centre
Found that to be true
Told shunters to keep off her land
Or she would have to fine them
Clearly got their backs up
As They could not understand

Land was to be hunted upkn
The thugs believed it so
It was about their culture
Which this women didnt know
So late one night they came around
And shot her rescue dogs
One when found was dying
And four who never made a sound
They were shot and killed alas
And her horse bad a gouged eye
This is the extent to which hunters will go
And They refused to see why

She has land so she should grant them access
But she is within her rights
She doesnt want them killing
And she doesnt want these fights
Its really intimidation causing terror
And they should
Keep off her land and stay away
And that will be now good

But they have told her verbally
She can go to hell
They are going to hunt there
And the proceeds they will sell
Ofcourse this breeds a nervousness
And misgivings in her heart
She already feels uneasy
And now for all this to start

Leaves her feeling threatened
And very much afraid
If she confronts them on her land
If they should again raid
Anything might happen
It is an alarming prospect
To have this huge weight laid

Firmly on one’s shoulders
And her poor dogs clearly they
Must have gone through so much fright
And that they were made to pay
They are cowards thats clearly obvious
Creeping back at night
To kill the ladies animals
Who never put up a fight

Typical blooming hunters
Assassins in a way
Hiding and just ambushing
Those probably who may
Have been sleeping
Twice shot in the head
It was an awful crime
One hopes the police will catch them
Really, not before time

Dedicated to illona Mitchells
And ber daughter
In sierra de baza
Spain

An animal rescue centre

They came like phantoms
Darkly shadows in the night
Hunters so called.
