The Indigenous Philosophies

A picture that epitomises
the indigenous souls
who bare
these guardians of the
forests of the mountains
as they share
their love for all the
creatures.
the plants
the trees
the soil
everything that’s out there
to them, they remain loyal
Modern man has sacrificied
his principles
for he
destroys first and denies next
his selfish tendency
tears the forests to the ground
and slaughters as hie goes
spreads his sick
defoliant
and very rarely sows
creates a dire
and ugly world
where creation has no place
oil palm
cattle
soya beans
and its at a fair old pace
Its occupied with alien force
the indigenous must run
somewhere’s else
into the deeper forest
where the gun
the saw
the truck
those money grabbing
corporates
for a moment
do seem stuck
but the frightening thing
about it all
is that gradually we see
the indigenous have no place to go
which is where
philosophy
comes up against reality
the world may look away
but it is, in all our interests
that the indigenous get a say
