A Quichua gift from Victoria

Its a lovely rich
concoction wrapped in a
Canna leaf
especially made with mushrooms
garlic and self belief
steamed this tasty parcel
is the gift that I adore
an indigenous creation
from volcanic Ecuador
Victoria had fashioned it
this morsel just for me
and brought it round
for all to eat
a birthday rhapsody
and music to my ears it was
its texture soft and round
and served with Tulsi ginger
the greatest drink I’ve found
coupled with the vegan cake
the candles and the glee
All the family singing
Happy Birthday to me

well it was glorious to get back
to Perth
