Lek chailert’s work in Thailand

Many wild elephants
End up in places
Not fit for an end game
Camps sanctuaries and Zoo’s
They end up in tourism
People climb on their backs
Doing circus tricks
Painting
They are the facts

Hunters traffickers arrogant slobs
Talentless subnormal
Moronic yobs
Often dull-witted
Thick as,
two short planks
Kindness regarded
The need to give thanks

One Lek Chailert
Has great understanding
Already has rescues
It seems she‘s demanding
Truthfulness veracity
Sincerity
Wildness is precious
To the umpteenth degree

The greatest land animal
Heavy as hell
Lives seventy years
A vegan who shall
Be at peace with itself
In the presence of those
Other wild brothers and sisters
I suppose

Lek’s deliberateness
Her determination
She has good intentions
A calculation
The need is to save them
To restore and recall
To recover and regain
To Rehabilitate

This is the right way
Social accord
They are loved
They are cared for
It’s their reward
For losing their wildness
As clearly they do
But they have big hearts
And big souls too

When Lek calls her friends all the elephants
Come
It’s one big family
Really that’s some
beautiful happening
These great heavy souls
Subjected to torture
But it never controls

Their inner self
For the sincerity
The intimidation
The terrible fear
The audacious courage
That Lek does pursue
Their state of wonder
Is wonderfully true
