Leela

A gem of s lady
So compassionate she
Born in Cochin
Not far from the seA
The Arabian Sea
Washed up spices galore
Black Pepper snd Cardamon
That We all adore

In this idyll was born
A sweet child called Leela
Of Hindi origin
She was a star
A nurse born to give
All of her care
And to leave her oasis
And Her talents to share

She settled in Stoke
In BuckinhamShire
A large county hospital
She full of fire
Arabian spices
South India true
Of contemporary culture
So an overview

Is, vegetarian
sadya and more
Rices and vegetables
On plantain the core
Coconut, rice, tapioca where she
Brought culinary wisdom
Across the salt sea

So full of culture
And true expertise
Leela, Stokes finest
Sent here to please
So many angels winging their way
And caring and loving
Us all more each day.
