This is deemed art

This poor soul
Can see the grime
Of man unkind
Of all his sins
And No paragon
That underpins

His character
And those who let
This calf be trapped
And exposed on set
a living caring feeling soul
Becomes art work
Takes on the role

No guilt no culpability
No involvement
In this travesty

A calf
A baby
An innocent soul
Frightened captured
But still in control

Of its faculties
Though the human who
Calls himself an artist
Is clueless who

In their right mind
Would sink this low
And to the French Ministry
We must all go

Its reprehensible
And a wicked act
A tiny glass case
All should be sacked

Its blamelessness
Its guileless stance
And all this is happening
Yes in France

Where so called artistic pure souls
Be
And they watch a calf bound in misery
Exposed in a glass case
Called art
Now its confirmed
They have no heart

They have no soul
No empathy
They have lost control
They cannot be
Allowed to draw down
Art this way
With cruelty
And such dismay

Remove that animal
And please be
Arranging a life
Long sanctuary
It will never be eaten
By the dense
The cost of so doing
At the artists expense

Draw up the contract
And let us see
The artist
And his purgatory
