It all started with one well

It all started with one well
One drill one fracking drill
A fracking pad so fracking bad
And now in fact until
Forever we have experienced
The terror and fight
To ruin what was England
With all their fracking shite

Rich energy corporations
Living far away
From where they plunge their drill sites
And make the locals pay
We lose our fresh clean water
We lose our lovely air
We lose our will to live in fact
We find it hard to bear

Fracking is a monster
That came by way of chance
It’s teeth bite through the
Fertile earth
It’s coughs and splutters for all
It’s worth

Pukes it’s guts up everywhere
And changes good to bad
A rare
Contract with the people who
Live around the place like you
A house a homestead a farm may be
And now it’s just A
catastrophe
The aquifers were breached long ago
We have no water to drink and so

The air we breathe has methane too
We choke all day and night we do

Pipe lines they are everywhere
Grids go on and on a new
Gas migrates and what we see
Is rotted flower beds instantly
Black rain falls and it all dyes
Yes it is a big surprise
We were promised so much luck
From those who do not care a fcuk

If we listen to Tory blue
Who used the coppers and take us through
Arrest us and make us go on our way
Whilst the lorries roll
Day after day
We sit with our nose bleeds dripping fast
With bitter tastes our dies are cast
This is the prize we give our wives
Frighten our children out of their lives
This is our future the vilest hell
Something the fracking men know well

The politicians spread their lies
After listening to the fracking guys
The legacy we leave behind
Is beyond a doubt we have lost our mind
Ancestors have died in forgotten wars
Many were covered in countless sores
Radiation and contamination
It’s was spread across the nation

Children choking
Bleeding out
Not knowing what it was all about

The fracking corporation bods
So bloody powerful they were gods
Raking in the money fast
Do you hear the earthquakes blast
The bubbling rivers
Clogged with shit
I hear you want no way with it

When I am long gone you best beware
Tell the world you didn’t care
The water tables were racked with gore
The air was filled with woe and awe
Everywhere saw cancers flight
Darkness came to block the light
Babies died at birth farewell
Better they died than enter Hell
