why love an old dog when there are so many new ones around

with someone that old any more

without a doubt

their life force just ignore

he was just too old

as we get older

people get colder

nobody is sold

on anyone that old youi see

old dogs have short memories

so it best put them out

of their blooming misery

send them to the pound

they will get to the rainbow bridge

and romp on hallowed ground

that’s the spirit poor old Chelo

that’s his destiny

at least someone is looking after him

and he maybe

given another chance to run

to play and   just  be

happy doing running hoping

until infinity

catches him and takes him

in a most euphoric state

to someone who is kind to him

and just makes him feel great

as for his previous owner

a low life we can say

a heartless individual

who karmically will pay

for being really most unkind

and unfeeling that’s for sure

lets hope Chelo forgets him

and just learns to do more
