The mass seal graveyard at Cape Cross Namibia

Its a pretty dire outlook
The world of the Seals
On Namibia’s coastline
The sentient feels
a loss, all those babies
have died, and now lay
beginning to rot
in the heat of the day

at the shoreline, the many
the army await
the call of the tide
Cape Cross it is late
with death for so many
that Nature has made
her mind up and now
they have joined her parade

their pelts attract maggots
the Seal clubber’s, No!
it appears its the one’s that
they murder who go
into the system
that just seems to grow
their logic unfolds
with little to show
they ignore those that fell
by themselves on the shore
its some kind of omen
they feel, I’m not sure
but these valuable pelts
they appear to ignore
Society drifts to and fro
in the froth
the sea and the tides
and the fish
like a moth
by a lamp where society sees
a flickering light
and the call of the breeze
on the furthest of islands
out in the blue
as the sun curls its warmth
on the shoreline, we knew
how vast the blue ocean
becomes famously
so much blood was lost
and forever will be
Cape Cross a mass grave
for the many who fell
clubbed to death
denied breath
and transmitted to Hell
