(Hong furu) Fermented Bean Curds

Hundreds of years or so before
Christ allegedly
came into this world
of ours
in China we did see
Tofu being eaten
but it was harder to digest
so fermented, tofu
one for the sick and old
was considered best

Hong fu ru
the use was made
of “Monasceos Purpureae”
with salt and sake
and sesame oil
it became very clear
nutritionally easy to digest
for older souls and those
too sick to chew, on meat or fish
so Hong Fu Ru they chose
