Iceland 66 and 67

There is no remorse or compunction
Nor commiseration they
Were yesterday creations gift
And sadly the dismay
Most feel at now seeing
On the roof of this whale shed
Iceland gave permission
And all these whales are dead

Sixty six and sixty seven
And 191 is to be
The total figure on the license
All of them were swimming free
For iceland to give permit
To a madman millionaire
Who is bringing the country into disrepute
And you are so unaware

These are beautiful fin whales
Endangered and they need
Protection not annhilation
For Iceland to succeed
In whale watching and killing
And the tourists who
Come and share their wisdom
And their money it is true

Most feel put out when they realise
You are murdering them so you
Can make a lot of money
At watching snd killing
You do

Sink into the ocean
Your morality
And Your absolute lack of pity
Inexorability

Where is the appreciation
The recognition here
You ought to all be thankful
That these whales are swimming near

But instead of that you are harpooning them
And dragging them back to port
Turning them into carnage
For the whalers it is sport

It is wrongness on a scale
Beyond belief its a disgrace
Transgression the procession
Of dead souls that we face

Its clearly unjustifiable
Its vulgar and its wrong
Its disrespecting nature
And the whole cetacean throng

Its thanklessness personified
Unmindful that it be
These whales do you no harm at all
But you pull them from the sea

You carve them up
And disrespect their gods
Who did create
Them to be watched not murdered
And I am saddened at your fate

This millionaire needs stopping
Its not funny anymore
Its his personal vendetta
Against the natural law

Of life, and all its meaning
Such profundity and more
We have to save these beautiful souls
That so many of us adore

Dont sink to the low level of Japan
You are so much better than them
