Feelings

The iconic one
Australia was gifted Kangaroo’s
How some use them for leather goods
And meat too
its the blues
I have
to actually discover this
For the passion and the drive
A kangaroo has everything
And really must survive

But sadly they are seen as pests
And given half the chance
The hunter man will slaughter them
And thats without a glance
Just murder the joey
And stomp on them, they do
They don’t possess compassion
Or love and that is true

So to see this picture posted
On Face Book yesterday
Of a mother and her baby
And a father I can say
All those tales of murder
All of them came to mind
For clearly love is present
As Nature had designed

The mother clearly dying
Very very weak
She couldn’t hold her head up
But her man still at his peak
Assisted her, he held her gently
She touched her baby who
Responded very lovingly
And just wanted to do

A baby feeling woeful
Its sentiment so true
Its affection and its tenderness
And devotion through and through
This group are clearly lamenting
Their longing and their pain
The graciousness of motherhood
That may not happen again
In a moment life may leave her
And a baby will then see
The kindness he was offered
Gone eternally

Those seconds of emotion
Captured we can share
A hunter psychopath would kill
The lot of them and not care
Happy with the leather
With the bush meat
With it all
Because he lacks true empathy
And perhaps cannot recall

In his own life the truest love
A mother for a child
A father for a mother
And remember they are wild
Reality shows our wild souls
Are instinctively aroused
By the true ancestral experience
That within their heart is housed

I love to watch wild animals
Untarnished and so true
Honest to their being and all seeing
Not a view
held by manufacturers
Or butchers on their trail
Who kill them indiscriminately
And leave me feeling pale

And nauseous and wanting to forever fight their cause
In Australia I wouldn’t stay at hotels
And I would pause
to read all their menu’s
And if Kangaroo appeared
I would have a go at the manager
And be gone feeling more cheered

So many hotels serve up steaks
They imagine that its right
They cannot feel the love and care
That wild souls feel alright
They have no thought of wildness
Of the outback and beyond
The only thing they think about
Is their profit of which they are fond

A picture paints a million words
Love and sentience there
A sadness and a caring
That all three souls now share
To eat them or to stomp on joeys
Says one thing to me
Those hunters should be stomped
On and the kangaroos stay free
