It’s hard to imagine in this day and age
How some men in positions
Are right off the page
Lacking the sense they were born with
I’d say
With a need to be helped to point the right way
What he is quoted as saying shows me
He hasn’t a clue where women should be
Lacking understanding to me says that he
Just needs to think a bit harder to see
Maybe feminism was created to try
And discourage families and children
And why
In the conventional model what do we see
a father and mother
And a child making three
or four even five
Whereas same sex affairs
Give rise to a reduction which possibly scares

Some into arguing how could that be
Who would have put this in place actually
They were so clever
Abusing their power
Creating a movement
That appeared to empower
Women and logging into a sphere
But actually using them
and spreading fear

Women have so much to offer the world
Gary Schmidt and his followers
Somehow have hurled their punitive comments
Around in the street
And tried to dismiss and somehow unseat
The passion and the inner strength
they possess
Insulting women’s intelligence less
Hurts the women in this case for they
Are much more than words really ever can say

In the great patriarchal movement abroad
In essence the women cannot afford
To just be the whipping boys
Subjected to
Emotional lies
That just are not true
It’s easy to shout off one’s mouth
But let me
Seek appreciation for them
Earnestly
