Feeding the cows on an unnatural diet
\ncreates nitrous oxide galore
\nMethane, and so many other vile
\nproducts knocking on every ones door
\nthe antibiotics, the hormones
\nThe GM,the cloning, so much
\nIndustrial Farming
\nIs blooming well harming
\nAnd most of us seem out of touch<\/p>\n
all this media hype
\npharmaceutical tripe
\nFor Climate change is
\nin our ear
\nCorporations are buying ethical business
\nand spewing out babies to fear
\nFish Farming,Prawn farming all of it harming
\nMangroves and coasts now for sure
\nMeat is the food of the moment\u00a0And meat is the food I abhor<\/p>\n
\nFast Foods are playing their cards
\nVast slaughter methods huge farming outlets
\nAnd really not enough good safeguards
\nBatteries,cages, abominably cruel
\nLive exports of calves and feed methods and
\nall
\nnow very much in the hands of a few
\nWho seem to tell us, what to and not do<\/p>\n
The product on offer is not very good
\nIt lived too short time, much less than it should
\nWe really must wake up to reality
\nThey are taking the piss and more have to see
\nAnd the planet and its resource are now being raped
\nThe forests,the great rivers
\nOnce so landscaped
\ninto the countryside
\nNow they are left
\nPolluted and dying Nature’s bereft<\/p>\n
Everyone’suffering, you see it,around
\nPolar Bears trapped on the last piece of ground
\nLow lying beaches being swamped by the sea
\nbut the Corporate few now much bigger they be
\nMany out stripping the nations we know
\nThe animals lives on these farms have to grow, faster in shorter time, profit is king
\nTheir deaths are more violent and they are, suffering<\/p>\n
And Governments are going along with it all
\nThey get their taxes which is as a rule
\nLarge enough really to save them from pain
\nAnd they grow and they grow causing more and more strain
\nTo the much smaller businesses and the small farms,To the retail shops and the town centre’s charms
\nBoarded up shops litter high streets galore
\nand behind all these boards sadness for sure
\nClosures and re- possessions its all there
\nCatalogues really of people despair<\/p>\n

\nLess land allocated for animal feed, more forests saved,its going to lead
\nTo less degradation of oceans and sea
\nor rivers and streams and of course you and me
\nLess noxious gases,more wild habitats
\nLess pressure on indigenous people and cats
\nTigers and wild souls the wolves they will be
\nalong with the bears allowed to roam free
\nSo much of the land that is stolen today
\nis about the meat trade in a roundabout way
\nand the freeing up really of all this resource
\nwill improve our lot as a matter of course
