\nI have never seen
\nadoption as a way
\nhabitat loss is something
\nthat is happening
\nbut taking over exotic pets
\ndoes say
\na similar kind of message
\nand I am very sure
\nthe wild should always
\nreally be out there
\nwe have to appreciate
\nthat there are wild creatures
\nwho congregate and live their lives
\nand that I see as fair<\/p>\n
Companies are set up now
\nto exploit them
\nto them the concept doesn’t mean a lot
\nif they can make some money out
\ncutting down the wilderness
\nthey have the means
\nand need to fill their pot<\/p>\n
wild animals should never ever
\nbe contained
\nrestricted in their movements
\notherwise
\nthey then become dependant on
\nthe human who cannot begin to
\nrealize<\/p>\n
even our domestic cats have instincts
\nmovements, habits, throwbacks to a time
\nwhen they too perhaps were feral
\nof were wild out in the bush
\nwhen survival mean’t they had to run and climb<\/p>\n
but serval’s they are different
\nwild and wonderful
\nthere is no doubt a rarity in fact
\nand unless you can contain them in a high enough
\nenclosure
\nhow others and the authorities re act<\/p>\n
will govern how the animals survival
\nbased on what its use to in the wild
\nenclosing it as is the want of society
\nin truth will create souls really defiled
\nabused because they cannot live their true life
\nyes they are handsome and have quality
\nbut as a living breathing handsome animal
\nas pets they really shouldn’t ever be<\/p>\n
if we want them them then we build a mini zoo
\nan enclosure,where their freedom is usurped
\nfor society has rules
\nto protect domestic species
\nand their nocturnal hunting
\nreally calls
\nfor freedom just to roam
\nand hunt, its in them
\neach sinew of their body really knows
\nwhen the night draws in they do go hunting
\nthat is when the spirit really flows<\/p>\n
and somewhere where there’s water
\nfor it seems
\nunlike cats the serval likes the water
\nloves to swim and catch fish
\nit redeems
\nitself for in its make up, its uniqueness
\nit eats all sorts of creatures
\nmostly small
\nbut the joy of catching and eating
\nis how the serval feeds
\ngorging and regurgitating everything it eats
\nreally that’s the serval’s trait
\nand how it succeeds<\/p>\n
they can leap up to 9 feet
\nand pluck a bird out of the air
\nthey are equipped to do this in the wild
\nthey are aware
\nyou see already the serval is designed
\nmore for the wild
\nthan a pet although some homes
\nwe hear are really being trialled <\/p>\n
but unless you have a lot of land and money
\nand time and know what wild souls need
\neach day
\nthey will never ever be a lap cat
\nnot in this generation anyway
\nand in my heart I don’t feel it is proper
\nwild is wild and tame is cruel to me
\nthe circus shows us that
\nwild is wild and zoo’s are cruel
\nand that is where its at do you agree?
\nits a kind of luke warm environment
\na bridge thats just too far
\nif circus is wrong and rodeo’s wrong
\nthen domestication too are
\nits a way to broaden that freedom
\nto denigrate how they live
\nto devalue their emotions
\nand arrogantly give
\nwhat you feel is what they need
\nbut they need to be wild
\nthat dears is their birthright
\nto us they are like a child<\/p>\n
a child out of Africa
\nwhose needs were written by
\na higher force than the human force
\nand I believe that’s why
\nwe should enjoy their photographs
\nand marvel at their form
\nbut to morph them into domestic life
