What we look like
\nHow we feel
\nsometimes i despair
\nwe have to look within ourselves
\nand realise we share
\nso much of our being
\nwith others and therefore
\nthe thin veneer
\nthe world can see
\nis just that
\nand whats more
\ndis- ease may come and test
\nus
\nour resolve may take a hit
\nwe may be swallowed by it
\nwe may believe the shit
\nthat’s thrown at us
\nfor it will be
\nsociety is like that
\nit kind of follows established paths
\nand some of thats old hat<\/p>\n
we must break out of
\nall the shells foisted on us by
\nthe standard kind of rules and regulations
\nthat apply
\nlive our lives
\nin each moment
\nmirror what we do
\ntry to help each other
\nthen the light comes shining through<\/p>\n
Lizzy has that weird disease
\nwhich means she’s very thin
\nskeletal in appearance
\nbut that can underpin
\nthe strength the inner power she has
\nher messages are bright
\nshe can move great mountains
\nthough her body mass is slight<\/p>\n
all of us have inhibitions
\nall of us tend to
\nwhether we are pretty flowers
\nall of us must do
\nour best with what we are given
\nfor life force is our gift
\nwe all can enjoy something
\ngiving others a kind of lift<\/p>\n
Lizzie is an example
\nshe has made it through
\nthe torment and the bullying
\nand the things that people do
\nshe had lovely parents
\nwho loved her and who be
\nalways very positive
\nthey helped her to see<\/p>\n
and she helped them to see too
\ncall her what you will
\nshe is sent to save some of us
\nand her love it will spill
\nout of her she’s happy
\nand can using her soul
\nhelp those deemed as more fortunate
\ninto their own sweet role<\/p>\n
Doctors I despair sometimes
\nthe consultation can
\nprepare us for a life of sickness
\nas it all goes down the pan
\ndrugs and even walking frames
\nwheel chairs and the like
\nwe must stand up for what we believe
\nwe must get back on our bike<\/p>\n
sometimes they are right I suppose
\nbut a bit of thought can do
\nwonders for the powerless
