Cicada’s are the music
\nof the Tropics
\non warm nights
\nwhen the armies emerge, they
\nundulate and spread
\nalong the surface
\nof our world
\nbillions of them showing
\nus the way<\/p>\n
the earth moves with their
\nscrambling
\ncreating
\npulsating
\ndefecating
\nliving organisms
\nwings transcend
\nlike gossamer rich thread
\nthe sky above is cloaked in colour
\nthe sun is up and everywhere shines red<\/p>\n
listen to them
\nthe chorus of the masses
\nit rocks the planets senses
\nwith its hum
\nbig red eyes
\nbut some are trapped in their own shells
\nand perish
\nrodent fodder
\nclearly numb<\/p>\n
for the extra wise
\nthe females lay their eggs
\nand die and dwindle
\npeace reigns as their bodies
\nrot away
\nbuilding up the compost in the forest
\neach of them has shared
\ntheir judgement day<\/p>\n
in a while pulsating
\nshrimp like creatures
\ncome into their own
\nas white as snow
