\nthe flowers the plants the tree
\nthe animals
\nthose sentient souls
\nwho share this land
\nwe call

\nextraordinary
\nvalued by us all<\/p>\n
sadly not
\nthe Kangaroo
\ngets a rotten deal
\nhe is no pest
\nwe know the rest
\nand is not much of a meal
\nthe average kangaroo
\nwhen killed
\nits yield is very small
\nperhaps 2 kilos
\nof edible flesh
\nyes Mrs that is all!<\/p>\n
and for that you end the life

\na precious iconic soul
\nwho was here before you humans
\nand has taken on the role
\nof a remarkable Australian
\nwhose now known everywhere
\nbut only found in Australia

of all the kangaroos each year
\na fifth will be done away
\nshot by some vile hunter
\nhiding they will pay
\nthe price for their true freedom
